Application/Solution Provider

  • ASP1 Inc. developed PalmSheet - a spreadsheet application for the Palm PDA. They have also developed a conduit that will synchronize PalmSheet with the Microsoft Excel.

    ASP1 wants to extend the PalmSheet to the enterprises - allowing multiple users access the same PalmSheet database (pdb) through the enterprise network. They develop a converter that will convert the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to the PalmSheet database. By incorporating WebSync, they are now able to allow the users download the PalmSheet database across the enterprise network.

    [Solution] Incorporate WebSync as part of PalmSheet and distribute both the WebSync Downloader and Editor to the users.

They will then install the database to the Palm PDAs of the various dispatch personnels.

CU1 wants to simplify and improve the efficiency of the download-install process. By using WebSync, they are able to allow the dispatch personnels download and install the dispatch database automatically during HotSync.
